About Training and Placement Cell

The Training and Placement Cell is driven by experienced professionals from industry and academic field. Aim of JSIMR placement cell is to provide final year students campus placement in reputed MNC’s as per area of students interest and to improve their financial status as well. We at JSIMR Training and placement cell strives to bridge the gap between Industry and the Academia ensuring the students are well-prepared before stepping into the Corporate Industry.


To develop and nurture students with skills and competency metrics required in today’s competitive corporate industry and direct them for better career opportunities available across the globe too.


1. To ensure placement to all students in reputed Industries.
2. To enhance student career development by conducting various on and off campus industry interaction activities such as Industry study visits, knowledge sessions of industry experts, Seminars and Workshops and live research projects.
3. To keep track of alumni career growth and provide assistance for career excellence.
4. To be in touch with industry and stay in line with latest employment opportunity.
5. To adorn students with the necessary skills for their transformation from classroom to corporate.


1. To Arrange campus interviews for final year students and summer internship for First year students.
2. To prepare students to face Final campus interviews by arranging trainings like Group discussions, Aptitude tests, preparing for operations and HR interviews through Knowledge sharing sessions from Industry Experts.
3. Maintain healthy and fruitful rapport with the industry key personnel through Corporate Visits, Seminars and corporate HR Meets.
4. To Provide essential training to students in the area of Behavioral Attributes and Soft Skills through tools like competency mapping.


Placement Objective and Training Program:

Grooming of students starts right from 1st day of the MBA program.For this reason JSIMR conducts aptitude tests, interview techniques, group discussions and various “Soft Skills sessions on regular basis

Students who have weak performance in their studies need personal counseling.
For such students counseling sessions and special training is a regular part of the “Innovative Practices” for the overall developments of the students on every Saturday.

JSIMR has a well established Training & Placement cell. Dedicated Training & placement officer is being appointed to invite companies to campus for recruitments. Career Advance Drives for summer and final placements are organized by the institute.

About Placement MBA:
The role of the Training and Placement Cell is a facilitator and council or for placement related activities.  Placement cell extend placement services even after the completion of degree. It is a matter of great pleasure for the Institute to take this opportunity to invite potential companies to experience and evaluate the dexterity, competency, skills and talent of our students and absorb them into their esteemed organizations.
Training is provided to the students on Soft Skills, Corporate Etiquettes and Manners, Business Communication, Aptitude Test, Resume Writing, Presentation Skills, GD/PI etc.
Placement Activities
1. Planning and managing Industrial study visits for students, organizing corporate meets, Knowledge sessions (Guest lectures) etc. to excell knowledge and skills of students.
2. Provides opportunities/ companies to students of first year for Summer Internship projects.
3. Interacting & developing healthy relations with corporate at all levels in terms of final campus placement.
4. Periodically visit, Coordinate with the corporate industry to understand their requirements in terms of new manpower and skill sets required .
5. Prepare and follow standard procedures for short listing and scrutinizing the students profiles and identifying right candidates for final campus placement drive.
6. Identify key recruiters as per JSIMR’s specializations for final Placement Drives.
7. Communicating with students, standard operating procedures of JSIMR’s placement policy for final campus placement drive.
8. Arrange workshops on Competency mapping, Employability Training Courses for Soft skills and personality development, weekly aptitude tests, video Mock Interviews and feedback sessions and preparation of Covering letter and CV preparation and pre- placement talk.
9. Arrange video lectures on success stories of key professionals to keep motivating students.
10. Arrange sessions for assessment of training effectiveness and feedback.
