The Library at JSPM's Jayawantrao Sawant Institute of Management and Research (JSIMR), Pune serves as the intellectual heart of the Institute, supporting academic excellence, research, and lifelong learning. It provides a rich collection of print and digital resources designed to meet the academic and professional needs of students, faculty, researchers, and staff.
Our library houses an extensive collection of management books, reference materials, journals, magazines, newspapers, research reports, project dissertations, and other valuable learning resources. The library continuously updates its collection to support the curriculum and emerging trends in management education.

Library Policies
At JSPM's Jayawantrao Sawant Institute of Management and Research (JSIMR), the library serves as a dynamic knowledge hub dedicated to supporting academic excellence, research, innovation, and lifelong learning. The following policies ensure effective utilization of library resources and create a conducive environment for all users.
Library membership is available to all registered students, faculty members, and staff of the Institute.
Every eligible user shall be issued a Library Membership/Borrower Card.
Membership remains valid during the period of study or employment with the Institute.
Membership cards are non-transferable.
Members are responsible for all transactions made using their cards.
Duplicate cards may be issued upon submission of an application and payment of prescribed charges in case of loss.
The borrowing privileges are granted according to the category of membership.

Books shall be returned on or before the due date.
Renewal is subject to demand and availability.
Books must be physically presented for renewal.
Reference materials shall not be issued for home lending.
Users shall maintain discipline and decorum within the library.
Mutual respect among users and library staff shall be maintained.
Verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation, and disruptive behaviour are prohibited.
Users shall comply with library rules and staff instructions.
Activities disturbing the academic environment of the library are not permitted.
Group study is permitted only in designated areas.
Minimum group size shall be two members.
Maximum group size shall be six members.
Discussions should be conducted at a moderate volume.
Users are responsible for maintaining cleanliness after use.
Eating and drinking are not permitted inside the library.
Smoking, chewing tobacco, and spitting are strictly prohibited.
Users shall consume meals outside the library premises.
Cleanliness and hygiene shall be maintained at all times.
Silence shall be maintained throughout the library.
Loud conversations and excessive noise are not permitted.
Users shall ensure that their activities do not disturb others.
Mobile phones shall be kept on silent mode.
Voice calls are not permitted inside the library.
Users shall leave the library area to make or receive calls.
Users shall handle books, journals, magazines, and other resources carefully.
Marking, writing, highlighting, underlining, tearing, or damaging library materials is prohibited.
Library resources shall be protected from misuse and damage.
Members shall be responsible for materials issued in their name.
The Book Bank Scheme is primarily intended for eligible students from reserved categories and economically weaker sections.
Books may be issued for one semester, subject to availability.
Books must be returned within the stipulated period after examinations.
Lost or damaged books must be replaced or compensated as per library norms.
The library reserves the right to inspect personal belongings whenever necessary.
Users shall cooperate during security checks.
The library shall not be responsible for loss of personal belongings.
Unauthorized removal of library materials is strictly prohibited.
Overdue books shall attract fines as prescribed by the Library Committee.
Reminder notices may be issued for overdue books.
Books not returned within the specified period may be treated as lost.
Borrowers shall replace lost books or pay the applicable charges.
The Reading Room is intended for study and academic activities.
Silence and discipline shall be maintained.
Mobile phones must remain on silent mode.
Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited.
Users shall respect the rights of other readers.
Library Rules and Regulations
Every student entering the library shall carry a valid Institute Identity Card.
Identity Cards shall be produced whenever requested by library staff.
Every user shall record his/her entry in the Library Entry Register.
Students may borrow two books at a time for a period of eight days.
Faculty members and staff may borrow books as per the prescribed borrowing limits.
Books in heavy demand may not be renewed.
Reference books, journals, magazines, newspapers, reports, dissertations, and project reports shall not be issued outside the library.
Users shall inspect books at the time of issue and immediately report any damage to library staff.
Lost or damaged books shall be replaced with a new copy or compensated as per library rules.
Delay in returning books shall attract fines as prescribed by the Library Committee.
Mobile phones shall remain switched off or on silent mode within the library premises.
Smoking, spitting, eating, chewing tobacco, and littering are strictly prohibited.
Users shall maintain silence and discipline in the library and reading hall.
Books removed from shelves shall not be re-shelved by users and should be left on designated tables.
Personal belongings shall be kept in designated areas.
Library staff may inspect bags, books, files, and personal belongings whenever necessary.
Project reports, dissertations, and special collections shall not be taken outside the library.
Borrowers shall be responsible for the condition of books issued in their name.
Library Membership Cards and Institute Identity Cards shall be submitted during clearance procedures.
Users shall maintain cordial and respectful relationships with library staff and fellow users.
Repeated violations of library rules may result in suspension of borrowing privileges or disciplinary action by the Institute.
The decision of the Librarian and Library Advisory Committee regarding library matters shall be final and binding.

Ensure effective implementation of library policies.
The Library Advisory Committee shall meet at least three times during the academic year to review library operations, acquisitions, services, and developmental activities.
